Pakistan name squad for Asia Cup T20 in UAE – PCB
Pakistan Squad for Asia Cup 2022 UAE Announced By Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB): Pakistan have announced a strong squad for their upcoming T20I Asia Cup that commences later this month.
Babar Azam will once again lead Pakistan after being named captain of both squads, while fast bowler Naseem Shah is included in place of fellow quick Hasan Ali.
Pakistan Squad Changes: Pakistan squad for Asia Cup 2022 in UAE has been announced by PCB. Pakistan is the first team to announced the squad and there will be a total of five changes from the squad that competes at the Asia Cup in the UAE, with Abdullah Shafique, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Haris, Salman Ali Agha and Zahid Mehmood being replaced by Asif Ali, Haider Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed and Usman Qadir.

Babar Azam (captain), Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Asif Ali, Fakhar Zaman, Haider Ali, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shahnawaz Dahani, and Usman Qadir.
Asia Cup 2022 UAE
The Asia Cup 2022 will commence on 27 August in UAE with the final set to be played on September 11. The schedule for the 15th edition of the Asia Cup has been announced with the tournament set to begin on August 27, with the hosts Sri Lanka taking on Afghanistan in the tournament opener.

The final is set to be played on September 11. The Asia Cup, which was last played in 2018, will be played in the T20 format, with nine teams participating.

Salman Ali Agha has been recalled to the ODI side after he performed well in the past two Pakistan Cup tournaments, averaging 40.33 and 48.8, respectively. He also gives Babar Azam an additional bowling option.”

Pakistan’s first game at the Asia Cup is against arch-rival India in Dubai on August 28.
