Bowlers help the Trinbago: Trinbago Knight Riders beat Guyana Amazon Warriors in the 18th match of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2022. A solid all-round performance saw the Knight Riders complete a convincing win in front of their home crowd.

The Knight Riders had a worst start to their innings as they lost Tion Webster on the very first ball. Nicholas Pooran along with Colin Munro started the recovery work but the former departed on 15 in the third over. The Kiwi pair of Munro and Tim Seifert started building a partnership. Munro looked good for his 42 before getting dismissed in the 12th over.

The Knight Riders lost their way a bit as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Sunil Narine’s cameo of 26 helped them reach the 150-run mark at the end of their 20 overs. Tabraiz Shamsi starred with the ball for the Warriors, picking up four wickets. Romario Shepherd also chipped in with three.

Chasing 151, the Warriors also had a similar start to their innings, losing Paul Stirling on a duck in the very first over. Chandrapaul Hemraj played some wonderful strokes but it was a short stay for him as he fell on 28. They were 54/3 at the end of the powerplay. The lack of significant partnerships hurt them.
