Patriots Get Back on Track: Jamaica Tallawahs took on St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the 17th match of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2022. The Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain in Trinidad hosted this encounter where the Patriots grabbed their second win of the competition.

Dwayne Bravo, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots skipper won the toss and opted to bowl first. Jamaica Tallawahs skipper Brandon King and Kennar Lewis gave their side a stunning start. They put 49 between them before Lewis was dismissed on 24. King also departed in the eighth over on 22. They lost two more wickets in the middle phase.

Raymon Reifer, walking in at five, played a fantastic cameo of 40* off just 26 balls to help his side post 139 on the board. Fabian Allen also looked good for his 23. The Patriots bowled well in the second phase of the innings and pulled back things to restrict the Tallawahs to a low total.

In the break, rain arrived and the second innings was reduced to 15 overs. The revised target for the Patriots was reduced to 113. The Patriots had a wonderful start to the chase, thanks to their openers in Ander Fletcher and Evin Lewis. Both played aggressively from the start and put 49 at the end of the powerplay before the southpaw fell on 20. Darren Bravo joined Fletcher and kept the scoreboard moving.
