Jadeja and CSK controversy: The IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings fans are in for a massive shock. Not everything is well between the franchise and their ace all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. The spin mainstay forms a crucial part of CSK’s unit.

Jadeja’s importance in the CSK contingent can be inferred from the fact that the 33-year-old was the first player to get retained by the franchise. He was considered ahead of MS Dhoni and the four-time champion paid him a whopping price of INR 16 crores.

However, there are now reports of bad blood between the two. It is believed that Jadeja is done with the franchise and only a miracle can get things right between him and CSK. Things turned sour during the middle of IPL 2022 as the franchise robbed Jadeja of captaincy.

Ravindra Jadeja’s poor performance as the captain

Ahead of the 15th IPL season, MS Dhoni suddenly announced his decision to step down from the captain’s post. Following the resignation, the team handed over the reins to Ravindra Jadeja. 

The Navagam-born didn’t have an ideal run as the skipper. Under his leadership, the Yellow Army lost six of its eight league matches. Jadeja’s performance with the bat and the ball also took a hit. Thus, the team management relieved him of leadership duties and MS Dhoni was made the skipper again.

The sacking in the middle of the season didn’t go well with the all-rounder. He was further ruled out of the tournament due to a rib injury. As per a report by the Times of India, there has been no communication between CSK and Jadeja since IPL 2022.

The reason behind Jadeja and CSK fued

The 33-year-old has cut all his communication with the franchise. This is a big step, as CSK is known for having a family-like relationship with all its players. The four-time champion are in touch with all their players throughout the year and also conduct some fun activities.

Ravindra Jadeja hasn’t participated in any such events since his departure from the hotel in Mumbai in Mid-May. There were rumors of a feud between the player and the management during the event as well.

However, MS Dhoni has quashed just speculations by confirming that he will lead the team next year and Jadeja will be there as a player. However, the rumors of the Jadeja – CSK fight have once again taken the headlines.

This time it is because of the all-rounder’s social media activities. He has removed all his posts from his official Instagram handle regarding the CSK franchise. He was also the only CSK player missing from the video posted by the franchise to wish Dhoni on his birthday.

Jadeja approached by other franchises for IPL 2022

Also, reports suggest that Jadeja has been approached by a number of other teams for the next IPL season. The all-rounder is seriously considering his options and has closed almost all the doors for conciliation. 

It is believed that CSK and Dhoni can make one last effort to make the spinner stay when they will meet for the final time to decide on his future. It shouldn’t be difficult for MS to solve the Jadeja and CSK feud. 

He shares a close camaraderie with the left-hander and has played a vital role in his cricket career. Jadeja entered the Yellow Army in 2012 and received some massive backing from Dhoni. The skipper stood by the all-rounder in all his bad times and helped him revive his career time and against. 

CSK’s inside sources have refused to speak on the topic. However, they mentioned that the Saurashtra player was sacked as a captain to ensure that he focused more on his personal performance. 

Dhoni believed that the poor performance by Jadeja can also affect his chances of making it to the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup. Meanwhile, there has been no official confirmation from the team or Jadeja regarding the entire fiasco.
