CSK First win in IPL 2022: Chennai Super Kings captain Ravindra Jadeja on Tuesday dedicated the win against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2022 to his wife, saying the first win was “always special”.
Shivam Dubey (46 off 95 balls) and Robin Uthappa (88 off 50 balls) put on 216 for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. Thus the team won by 23 runs.
“I would like to dedicate it to my wife because first victory is always special,” he said at the post-match presentation. “As a team, we came good. As a batting unit, everybody did a good job. Robbie and Shivam batted brilliantly. The bowlers contributed with the ball as well.”
Jadeja said he is learning from senior players and added that experience of the team helps them overcome tough situations.
“As a captain, I am still picking brains of the senior players. Mahi bhai is there, I always go to him and discuss. I am still learning and trying to get better with each game.
“We have plenty of experience in our dressing room. Experience comes into play, we don’t panic early. We try to keep ourselves calm, we back ourselves and we look to play positive cricket. We’ll look to push hard, we’ve got the momentum and now we will look to continue.”
