Man of the Match
Mirza Tahir Baig
They had trust on me – Shaheen bhai gave me the confidence. I was backing my ability and I give credit to the team and especially Shaheen bhai for the trust. After Fakhar bhai got out, Ahsan Bhatti gave the momentum and Abdullah came out and told me to back myself. If there were wickets in hand, the runs could be chased down and I wanted to play 30-35 balls.

Post Match Presentation
Babar Azam | Peshawar captain
The score was less, and we didn’t get the finish. We were 100 in 11 overs but lost the plot from overs 11-15. We should have got 180-185 with the start we got but credit to the way Lahore bowled. The wicket was not two-paced, there was a bit of uneven bounce for the fast bowlers and the ball reverses here in Lahore after 10 overs. Our bowling was also not up to the mark, we started well for the first 8-9 overs but didn’t continue that. It is nice when a youngster plays with you and dominates. Communication is very important when the batting in the middle and I try to communicate with them, give them confidence. Happy with the form but disappointed that it didn’t help the team win. I will look back and see what I can do better.
Lahore Team captain Shaheen Shah Afridi
In big games there will be pressure. If the toss doesn’t go our way it is even harder, and we spoke about we have to do well regardless of batting or bowling first. The balls on a hard length at the end was gripping when we bowled first. We have the team to get these runs, credit to Tahir for the way he batted. I am trying my best to give to the team always in batting, bowling and fielding. I want to come out to bat when the situation demands. Lahore’s crowd always supported us and tomorrow is a big day, hopefully we will play well and hopefully we will win.
