Dr. Bhupen Hazarika (8 September 1926 – 5 November 2011) was an Indian playback singer, lyricist, composer, poet, actor and filmmaker from Assam, popularly known as Sudha Gonthi. Bhupan Hazarika is one of the most popular personalities from Assam, India. He was Born in 1926 in Sadiya, Assam, he graduated in 1946 with a master’s degree in Political Science.
