Kolkata’s SWOT Analysis: IPL 2021 T20 Final Match 60 of 60, the climax of IPL 2021 has arrived and it is Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders who will lock horns in the ultimate. Final will be happening in just a few hours to go. We are highlight the biggest problems and the best positive things to do as a team to win.

KKR has finally reached the final with their team by luck or change we can say. They have won only 2 games out of their last 7 and luckily, they have been entered in to the IPL Final in Dubai. They got this opportunity by luck but they can make this luck become the victory through their hard work to win the 3rd title.

Eoin Morgan took over the captaincy of the 2020 campaign after Dinesh Karthik failed to impress during the 2020 World Cup. In 2021, the franchise would like to improve on its performance after making some interesting acquisitions in the auction. The fans in Kolkata, like those in Chennai, will be looking to put up a great performance this time around. Here is the team information about KKR.

Cricket is a funny game. Some time we can’t expect what will happened in the game of cricket. That’s what exactly happened with KKR. Kolkata is the only team whose batting averages were too low comparatively.

Kolkata Knight Riders Profile

  • Captain: Eoin Morgan
  • Coach: Brendon McCullum
  • Home ground: Eden Gardens, Kolkata
  • IPL titles: 2 (2012, 2014)
  • Owners: Red Chillies Entertainment, Mehta Group

One of three teams to have won more than one IPL title, KKR are owned by actors Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla and Chawla’s husband Jay Mehta. The franchise was purchased for about Rs 262.5 crore (about US$75.09 million) in 2008 and has been one of the tournament’s most popular teams.

SWOT Analysis of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

Former IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders will be keen to join the Mumbai Indians and the Chennai Super Kings in the club of IPL teams with at least three titles. The Knight Riders won their maiden title in 2012. Two years later, they added one more trophy to their cabinet.

The Kolkata Knight Riders have done well in the previous three seasons. However, they have not been able to deliver the goods when it mattered the most. In 2018, they lost to the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Qualifier 2. On the other side, they have missed out on a playoffs berth in the previous two seasons. The team owners made some big decisions ahead of IPL 2021. They bought some of their former players back, while some new names have become a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders for IPL 2021.

Kolkata’s SWOT Analysis IPL 2021

Strengths – Domestic Players

It goes without saying that the Kolkata Knight Riders have one of the strongest domestic lineups in IPL 2021.

Weaknesses – Lack of Middle Order Form

Eion organ, Dinesh Karthik, Sunil Narine batting form in this series is a big question

Opportunities – Golden chance for the uncapped Indian players

With two T20 World Cup tournaments in two years, many players will look to gain a place in their respective team’s World Cup squad by impressing in IPL 2021. The Kolkata Knight Riders have a strong group of uncapped Indian players. Shubman Gill recently cemented his place in Team India but need to prove once again to back into the Blue jersey.

Nitish Rana and Rahul Tripathi could make a statement by batting with consistency in the Kolkata Knight Riders top order. Tripathi and Rana could break into the Indian side if they continue performing well for KKR.

Tripathi helped KKR to enter final with his second to last ball SIX… which led to Final. Prasidh Krishna once earned Virat Kohli’s attention with his pace. However, his performances declined last year. These players need to prove themselves with match-winning performances. Ultimately, it will benefit Kolkata to win this match against final.

This is an opportunity of strengthening their candidature for a place in Team India with some brilliant performances for KKR tonight against Chennai Super Kings.

Threat: Playing against Chennai Super Kings.
