Pat Cummins Fifty Ball By Ball Highlights
Ball No.15: Daniel Sams to Cummins, SIX, and just like that, Cummins has ended the game with four over still left! What on earth have we just witnessed here!!! Phewwwwww!! Another length ball, right into Cummins’s swinging arc and the murderous mood that he is in, nothing will be spared. This is blasted straight down the ground, over the sightscreen
Ball No.14: Daniel Sams to Cummins, FOUR, another superb shot to bring up a 14-ball fifty! Slower ball, Cummins walks across early and whips it away through square leg. Field is up that side and it races to the fence. Pat Cummins joins the fastest fifties in IPL history
Ball No.13: Daniel Sams to Cummins, no ball, 2 runs, taken brilliantly by SKY at long-off but it’s a waist-high full toss from Sams! Cummins still got enough bat on this to almost find another maximum. A one-handed slice down the ground and SKY caught it initially before realising that the momentum might take him beyond the ropes. Lobbed it in the air and came back from outside into the ground to take the catch. The third ump has a look but that’s perfectly fine, tremendous effort from Surya
Ball No.12: Daniel Sams to Cummins, SIX, come on, Pat!! You’re making a proper mockery of Mumbai’s target here! It’s a joke surely. Sams errs in line this time, fine leg is up and Cummins goes that side now. Shuffling across and helping it all the way over the ropes. This is a tsunami from Australia and the game has been shaken up completely
Ball No.11: Daniel Sams to Cummins, SIX, kabooooooooooom! Rohit looks shell-shocked, as do his MI mates. When someone like Bumrah is getting a pasting, what chance does Sams have? Feeds this in the arc, Cummins shuffles and heaves, all the way over deep square leg. Incredible batting this!
Ball No.10: Daniel Sams to Cummins, FOUR, pressure on Sams and he’s missed the yorker again, juicy full toss this time and Cummins heaves with all the power in the world. Over mid-wicket and the fielder in the deep was a bit squarer.
Ball No.9: Daniel Sams to Cummins, SIX, Cummins is putting on a powerhitting masterclass here! Some sublime hits and he’s clearing the ropes quite easily too. Sams misses the yorker, it’s in the arc and Cummins clobbers it straight down the ground. Flat hit and long-on has no chance.
Ball No.8: Bumrah to Cummins, 1 run, very full and around, jammed put past mid-wicket.
Ball No.7: Bumrah to Cummins, FOUR, and the rub of the green continues to go KKR’s way! Perfect wide yorker from Bumrah, Cummins somehow manages to reach this and looks to squeeze it out. Off the outside edge, and races away past short third man.
Ball No.6: Bumrah to Cummins, SIX, he’s hitting some big sixes here! Not always that Bumrah gets pasted over cow corner for a maximum. That’s what Cummins has done here, another crisp strike, leg-stump slot ball and he’s powered it with a strong bottom-hand, getting every piece of it. What a cameo this is! Game-changing knock potentially.
Ball No.5: Bumrah to Cummins, no run, quite full and outside off, slower ball, dug out to extra cover.
Ball No.4: Bumrah to Cummins, no run, wide yorker, probably pace-off, jammed out by Cummins.
Ball No.3: Tymal Mills to Cummins, FOUR, excellent batting! Plays the field perfectly and picks up a boundary to follow-up the six. Shuffled across a bit early, forcing Mills to go wider and that was an error with nobody sweeping behind point on the boundary. Cummins just needed to thread the gap in the ring and did so with an open-faced glide.
Ball No.2: Tymal Mills to Cummins, SIX, monster blow! Blimeyyyyyyy! Dre Russ might not be at the crease anymore but tell you what, this bloke can really whack it too. We saw glimpses of it in his brief IPL career already. This is a leg-stump half-volley with loads of pace, Cummins gets under it and plays a powerful pick up shot over deep square leg. Went deep into the crowd.
Ball No.1: Tymal Mills to Cummins, 1 run, back of a length outside off, Cummins stays back and punches to mid-off.
