IPL Released List 2023: Full List of Retained and Released Players, Live Auction

List of Retained and Released Players for IPL 2023: All the franchises of Indian Premier League have announced their retained players list ahead of the mini IPL auction in Kochi on December 23. All the teams were asked to submit their retention/released list after the conclusion of T20 World Cup 2022.
The window for the 10 franchises to retain players for the TATA Indian Premier League 2023 season ended on 15th November 2022. 163 players were retained by the franchises whereas 85 players were released from their existing squads.
Dwayne Bravo, who was one of the main player of Chennai Super Kings from last 11 years was not retained by the franchise. Punjab King’s former captain Mayank Agarwal, Sunriser Hyderabad’s former captain Kane Williamson & Nichlos Pooran were among the prominent players not to be retained by their respective franchises ahead of mini auction.
Sunrisers Hyderabad released maximum 12 players and will be participating in mini auction with highest purse of Rs 42.25 crores.

MUMBAI INDIANS
Mumbai Indians released total 13 players and traded Jason Behrendorff. One of the most successful all-rounder in the history of IPL, Kieron Pollard was released from the team and he announced the retirement from the IPL. CHENNAI SUPER KINGS
One of the most loved team in the IPL released 8 players. There were rumours that Ravindra Jadeja might part his ways, but his retention put the end to all the fake news circulating. Sunrisers Hyderabad released 12 players which include their former captain Kane Williamson and dangerous batsman Nicholas Pooran. Releasing Williamson does not seem to be a wise move, as the franchise released the likes of one of the greatest player in T20 cricket, Rashid Khan and David Warner last year to keep Williamson with the team.
