In the ongoing IPL cricket series, Sunrisers Hyderabad faced a disappointing defeat at the hands of Chennai Super Kings in the 46th league match. Despite the loss, Sunrisers captain, Pat Cummins, remained optimistic about his team performance.

The match, held at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai, saw Sunrisers Hyderabad winning the toss and choosing to bat first. However, their batting lineup failed to meet the target set by Chennai Super Kings. Scoring 212 runs in their allotted 20 overs, Chennai’s Ruturaj Gaekwad and Darrell Mitchell played pivotal roles, scoring 98 and 52 runs respectively.

Chennai’s bowling attack, led by Buvi, Nattu, and Unadkat, restricted Sunrisers to just 134 runs, securing a victory by 78 runs. Despite the defeat, Pat Cummins, the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad, remained positive. He believed his team had a chance to win and acknowledged the excellent performance by Chennai Super Kings.

“I did not think much about winning the toss and choosing to bat second. Because we had a good chance to win this match as well,” said Pat Cummins. “However, the players of CSK team played well and accumulated more than 210 runs. Given our batting order, this is an achievable target. All the batsmen in our team have won every match individually.”

Pat Cummins also commented on the weather conditions during the match. “The snow was a bit heavy in this match. It was snowing even in the first innings.”

Despite the setback, Pat Cummins expressed confidence in his team’s ability to bounce back stronger from this defeat.

“It is noteworthy that we can definitely come back stronger from this defeat,” he added, showing resilience and determination to overcome this setback.

Sunrisers Hyderabad will look to regroup and come back stronger in their upcoming matches, aiming to turn the tide in their favor in the IPL cricket series.
