Fakhar Zaman Replaces Usman Qadir: The Pakistan cricket board on Friday named explosive batsman Fakhar Zaman as injured Usman Qadir’s replacement in the Pakistan team for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia. Qadir is yet to recover from a hairline fracture on his right thumb, will join the travelling reserves.
PCB Official Statement
In the official statement, PCB stated: “The change is necessary as Usman Qadir is yet to recover from a hairline fracture on his right thumb that he suffered during the 25 September T20I against England in Karachi. The leg spinner will not be available for selection before 22 October.”
Along with Shaheen Shah Afridi, Zaman will arrive in Brisbane from London on Saturday. The team will evaluate the fitness of Fakhar during the two warm-up games.

The left handed batsman was initially suffered a knee injury while fielding in the Asia Cup final in Dubai and was ruled out of the domestic T20I series against England and was kept in the travelling reserves of the T20 World Cup squad.
