India Confirm Squad for World Cup 2023

India squad for World Cup: India have named a 15-player group for their home Cricket World Cup 2023 campaign.
On Tuesday, September 5th, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officially announced the squad.
This 15-member squad will be under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, with Hardik Pandya serving as the vice-captain.
In a significant development, KL Rahul has secured a spot in the team, having been declared fit to participate. This comes just ahead of their World Cup opening match against Australia in Chennai, scheduled for October 8th.
Rahul had suffered a thigh injury earlier in the year during the IPL. However, he has since been diligently training at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru and has successfully passed his fitness assessments. Subsequently, he has departed for Sri Lanka to reunite with his fellow Indian teammates, just in time for their Super 4 clash against Pakistan in the Asia Cup.
As a consequence of Rahul’s inclusion in the squad, Sanju Samson unfortunately didn’t make the cut. Additionally, Tilak Varma and Prasidh Krishna are the other players who have been left out.
