Lahore Qalandars grabs the title of PSL 2022 Winner by 42 runs. LQ (180/5) beat MS (138/10) by 42 runs to clinch their first PSL title. Qalandars made it to be the champion in the grand finale of the 7th edition of the Pakistan Super League against Multan Sultans at Gadaffi Stadium today.

Mohammad Hafeez shines with bat and ball as Qalandars lift PSL trophy. Lahore Qalandars 180 for 5 (Hafeez 69, Brook 41*, Afridi 3-19) beat Multan Sultans 138 (Khushdil 32, Shaheen 3-30, Hafeez 2-23) by 43 runs. Shaheen Shah Afridi and his men blew away defending champions Multan Sultans by 43 runs.

Shaheen Afridi, Lahore Captain: PDP (player Development Board) has helped unearth many young players like Haris and Zaman. It was a difficult responsibility when I was appointed captain. But thanks to my family, Hafeez who supported throughout and everyone in the team.I want to give credit to everyone in the team as all of them put up their hands and contributed at different times.
Mohammad Rizwan, Multan Captain and The Player of the Tournament: Lahore, along with us, deserved to win. Others were great in parts but we were consistently and thought it was fair that they won. The difference between the two sides was that they played better in pressure situations. Like Hafeez did after losing early wickets but we couldn’t do that. (On captaincy) I play with everyone and support teammates. We all make mistakes and I look at them as fallible humans and try to be accepting of them which has helped.
