RCB New Captain IPL 2022

The RCB has called for a press conference on March 12 at 4 PM for the same. With Virat Kohli stepping down as captain after IPL 2021, the post has been left vacant. Glenn Maxwell was favourite to be named replacement but RCB have decided to go with Du Plessis.
RCB New Captain: Who is RCB Captain. This is one of the most anticipated question and RCB Captain become more popular like Valimai update.
While RCB were all set to announce the name on March 8, they have now decided to delay the announcement. They will have the announcement at the newly launched RCB Bar & Cafe at 4 PM. At the same event, RCB will also launch the jersey. According to Insidersport.in
The announcement of the RCB’s New Captain
RCB New Captain IPL 2022: Royal Challengers Bangalore is going to announce Faf du Plessis as NEW CAPTAIN of RCB & New Jersey will be revealed on March 12.
What went against Glenn Maxwell was his unavailability in the first three matches in IPL 2022. Despite not being named in the white-ball series against Pakistan, Cricket Australia barred all centrally contracted players from competing in the IPL until April 5, meaning the NOC will only be applicable from April 6.
That meant, Faf du Plessis got the nod.
The former South African skipper has vast experience of captaincy having led the team in all three formats including in the World Cup. At Chennai Super Kings, Du Plessis was a guaranteed starter and he will have his place sealed in RCB’s Playing XI as an opener, opening the door to take over the charge.
Why Faf du Plessis not ideal choice for RCB captaincy?
Faf is not the ideal option after Virat Kohli even though he has captaincy experience in international cricket. Having retired from international cricket, he will also be available for the entire duration of IPL 2022.
The other option was Glenn Maxwell who was considered at first but he will be unavailable in the first few matches. The Australian will be only available from March 12 after serving five-day quarantine following the Pakistan tour.
Dinesh Karthik was the other option, especially due to his inputs from behind the stumps. But under his leadership, KKR struggled and he stepped down midway through the season in IPL 2020.
One and Only option for RCB is now with Virat Kohli. Talk, Negotiate, convince and bring him back. That’s the ideal choice for Royal Challengers and the Bangalore fans would love to see him back.
