Aaron Finch receives guard of honour from the Kiwis

On Sunday, Aaron Finch receives guard of honour during his final 50-over match against New Zealand in Cairns.
Announcing his retirement from ODI cricket on Saturday, the Australian skipper said the final ODI in the three-match series against New Zealand would be his last appearance. A failure to perform well by the explosive batter resulted in the decision to pull the plug, which was the most ducks he registered by an Australian batter in a year.
As a mark of respect, the Kiwi team presented Finch with a guard of honour. Kane Williamson shook the Australian’s hand and patted his back as he made his way to the crease. He missed a straight delivery from Tim Southee, which rattled his stumps, in his last innings in the 50-over format.
According to the Australian team’s official Twitter account, a video shows the Kiwis forming a guard of honour for Finch. “Classy stuff from the Black Caps as Aaron Finch makes his way to the middle.”
