Twitter Reactions: Muneeba Ali Created History at the Women’s world cup by Scoring a Century

Muneeba Ali Created History: Pakistan came back stronger than ever to upset Ireland in their second game of the season after losing a hard-fought game to India in their season opener. The two teams squared off in the tenth game of the Women’s T20 World Cup in Cape Town’s Newlands Stadium, where Pakistan’s utter dominance helped them to a huge 70-run victory, their first of the competition.
Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Muneeba AliΒ created history at the Women’s T20 World Cup on Wednesday, 15 February, becoming the first woman to score a century in the women’s T20I format for the country

Muneeba kept the scoreboard going even though Pakistan’s start was a little slow since opener Javeria Khan had to stroll back to the pavilion following a runout. The team’s captain Bismah Maroof, who had scored the important runs against India in their previous match, failed to make a strong impression and was cheaply eliminated on the sixth ball she faced.
Then, Pakistan was able to achieve a winning score because to the 101-run third-wicket partnership between Muneeba and Nida Dar. Nida Dar was also fast to collect runs, but Muneeba took over when it came to accumulating runs. She went on to record her first century and becoming the first Pakistani women cricketer to do so in T20Is. Pakistan finished at 165/5 thanks to her 68-ball knock of 102.
