T20 WC Poll & Match Preview: After the ultimate cricketing action for three week, the most awaited FINAL match will be played at iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. Jos Butler’s England will face Babar Azam’s Pakistan on Sunday. England crushed India by 10 wickets, whereas Pakistan won against New Zealand in the semifinals.

Venue: The match will be played in Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Date & Time: The match will be played on 13th November 2022 at 01:30 PM IST.

Pitch Report: A well balanced pitch is prepared in MCG which will help both the batters and pacers. However spinners won’t get much benefit.

Weather: Rain is likely to interrupt as there are more than 85% chances of rainfall. A 10-over game is must for a result.

Pakistan after getting a rough start in the tournament losing to India and Zimbabwe, bounced back strongly and didn’t look back. In the semifinal, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan stepped up to put a 105-runs opening stand to send Blackcaps home. Mohammad Haris will play a major role in final. Saheen Afridi who went wicketless in first two games, took 10 wickets in 4 matches. No to forget, Shan Masood, Iftikar Khan and Mohammad Nawaz have played brillant cricket. Shadab Khan is the man behind Pakistan’s dream run, he is also the contender for man of the tournament.

England started the campaign well winning against Afganistan, but lost to Ireland in second and their match against Australia washed out which made all their remaining games a virtual knock out. However it pushed them to do better and they bounced back winning remaining games. They won against New Zealand, Srilanka and crushed India by 10 wickets. Jos Butler and Alex Hales smashed Indian bowlers everywhere in Adelaide Oval.

English batting is very deep and strong, Ben Stokes and Moin Ali are the most dangerous pair in the middle. Livingstone will play a crutial role again. Mark Wood is likely to come back which will surely help England. Sam Curran, also the leading contender for man of the tournament will have a major role. England have many match winners, Pakistan need to play top cricket from the first ball to stop them.

Repeat of 1992- This match looks like a rematch of 1992 World Cup. Pakistan will be very keen to repeat the history as they defeated the same opponent in the same ground in 1992.

Both the teams raised their game in the middle of the tournament and never looked back. A cracker game is expected in MCG, but the fan will be praying for rain to not interrupt.

Probable XI

Pakistan: Babar Azam (capt), Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Haris, Shan Masood, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Wasim, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, Shaheen Shah Afridi.
