The eight edition of the T20 World Cup has started in Australia. The qualifier round of the tournament has begun, which will be followed by Super 12 round. The second match was played between Netherlands and UAE ar Simonds Stadium in Geelong.
UAE Innings – Toss
UAE won the toss and elected to bat first. They set a target of 112 runs in front of Netherlands.
- In reply, Netherlands chased down the target with one ball left for the loss of seven wickets.
- Opener Max O’Doud scored the highest 23 runs off 18 balls for the Netherland.
- Apart from him, Colin scored 17 runs. Captain Edwards played an unbeaten innings of 16 runs and won the match for the team in the last over.
However earlier in the match, UAE had started well and at one point scored 91 runs for the loss of three wickets, all the other batsmen of the team batted very slowly.
In the end, trying to score very fast, everyone lost the wickets quickly and the team could score only 111 runs. Muhammad Wasim scored the highest 41 runs, but he took 47 balls to score for the team. Leede took the highest three wickets for the Netherlands, Fred Klassen got two wickets.

With this win, Netherlands look to continue their dominance over UAE. In the opening match of the T20 World Cup 2022, Namibia has beaten Asia Cup 2022 champions Sri Lanka by a huge margin of 55 runs.
