Man of the Series Award Winners: T20 World Cup by ICC is the most prestigious tournament in cricket’s shortest format T20 cricket. The tournament started in the year 2007 where the Indian team in the captaincy of MS DHONI became the winner by defeating Pakistan and in the last T20 World Cup, Australia won the title for the first time by defeating New Zealand.

Shahid Afridi – Man of the Series Award Winner in the first ever T20 World Cup was held in South Africa in the 2007.
2007, India under the leadership of MS Dhoni won the title defeating Pakistan in the final match. Pakistani all-rounder Sahid Afridi outshined everyone with the bat and ball and became the first player to win the man of the tournament in the first ever T20 World Cup. Afridi took 12 wickets at an average of 15.55 and scored 91 runs with the bat.
Tillakaratne Dilshan – Inventor of Dilscoop shot: Sri Lankan opener Dilshan won the Man of the Tournament award in 2009 however Pakistan team became champion in the 2009 T20 World Cup. Dilscoop Dilshan scored 317 runs in 7 matches with the help of three half -centuries and became the top scorer of the tournament with his brilliant performance, the Sri Lankan team managed to reach the final.
Kevin Pietersen – England won their first T20 World Cup title in 2010, largely because of their player Kevin Pietersen. Kevin Pietersen was the highest run-scorer in the 2010 T20 World Cup with 248 runs at an average of 62 and a best strike rate of 137.77.
Shane Watson – In T20 World Cup 2012, the West Indies team won the title by defeating Sri Lanka but Australian all-rounder Shane Watson won everyone’s heart by his brilliant performance. Shane Watson scored 249 runs for Australia at an average of 49.8 and also took 11 wickets. This was the reason that despite the team not reaching the finals, he got the title of Man of the Tournament.

Virat Kohli is the only player to received Man of the Series Award Winners twice in the history – In the 2014 T20 World Cup, former India captain Virat Kohli broke all the batting records and won the Man of the Tournament title. Virat Kohli set the record for the most runs in a T20 World Cup tournament. Virat Kohli scored 319 runs in just 6 matches at an excellent average of 106.33 and a strike rate of 129.14 and it also includes 4 half centuries.

Virat Kohli – In the 2016 T20 World Cup too, Virat Kohli performed brilliantly and won the title of Man of the Tournament for the second consecutive time and became the only player to do so. In this tournament, Virat Kohli scored 273 runs with the help of three half-centuries and this time he had an average of 136.50. Statistics show how dangerous batsman Virat Kohli was at that time.
Australia’s Opener David Warner won the Man of the Series Award at the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 in UAE. In the final, Australia beat New Zealand by eight wickets to win their first T20 World Cup.

In the 2021 T20 World Cup, the Australian team won the title for the first time and the big name behind it is David Warner.
