Player of the Match
Wayne Parnell helps Northern Superchargers: Wayne Parnell was adjudged the player of the match for his excellent bowling figures of 4/16 in his 20 balls, which included 12 dots.
Probably 20-30 under par, but with a good bowling lineup we were backing ourselves. Have enjoyed it. Watching it back home last year was special and wanted to be a part.
– Wayne Parnell
Fantastic to defend that score. We thought it wasn’t enough. But no one could time the ball. Well bowled to him (Parnell). Some really good skills, some really good yorkers. Difficult to get to that top three. I think of two dropped catches in those games and it cost us. Crowds have been amazing. What we could do as players is give 10 minutes at the end to sign autographs.
– Faf du Plessis, Northern Superchargers Skipper
