SRH Captain Aiden Markram: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has named South Africa batter Aiden Markram as the franchise’s new captain ahead of the sixteenth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Kaviya Maran-owned franchise made the big news for the upcoming season on their social media profile.

Aiden Markram just led the Sunrisers Eastern Cape to the first SA20 title with a triumph over the Pretoria Caps in the final in Johannesburg.

Kane Williamson, a former Sunrisers captain and New Zealand international, has been released before to the IPL auction. He had a dismal 2022 season after Hyderabad paid Rs 14 crore to keep him. Williamson was with the team for eight years, scoring 2101 runs at an average of 36.22 and a strike rate of 126.03. He captained the Sunrisers 46 times in 76 appearances.
