Twitter Reation: Mumbai Indians upset Royal Challengers Bangalore for the second time in a row in the WPL match

Mumbai Indians upset Royal Challengers Bangalore in the WPL 2023 match no. 4.
On Monday, March 6, the Mumbai Indians, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by nine wickets at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai in the current Women’s Premier League (WPL).
Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet’s adversary, won the toss and chose to bat first. Sophie Devine and Smriti gave the game a quick start. The pair quickly established the boundaries and appeared to be in perfect command of the widely anticipated showdown.
Nevertheless, their stay at the crease was cut short by an in-form Saika Ishaque, who took Devine’s critical scalp. Following that, the middle-order collapsed like a pack of cards, with the team losing five wickets in a row for less than 50 runs.
Hayley Matthews dismissed Smriti for 23 runs off 17 balls after she had lost her stride. Richa Ghosh and Kanika Ahuja fought hard in the middle order, stitching a 34-run partnership before the latter was sent back to the dugout.
RCB finally scored 155 runs despite receiving little to no assistance from the rest of the team. Meanwhile, Hayley Matthews took three wickets, while Amelia Kerr and Ishaque both took two.
Matthews and Sciver-Brunt remained undefeated, scoring 77 off 38 balls and 55 off 29 balls, respectively, to lead the side to a comfortable victory. Mumbai won the match by nine wickets thanks to the 114-run partnership, delivering RCB their second defeat.
