WPL 2023: Veda Krishnamurthy’s statement on the captains of WPL 2023. Veda said- “Surprised to have Alyssa Haley and Beth Mooney becoming captains”.

Ahead of the start of the Women’s Premier League in 2023, former Indian player Veda Krishnamurthy talks about Australian players Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney.

Veda Krishnamurthy says he’s surprised Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney have been appointed WPL captains.Along with this, She has also mentioned Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur in his statement.

On Geo Cinema’s Akashvani show, Veda Krishnamurthy mentioned this when speaking with Akash Chopra. During the show, Veda was asked by Aakash Chopra if she was surprised by the selection of foreign captains for WPL 2023, to which she replied:

During this, Veda said, “Meg Lanning’s is not surprising. We obviously hoped that the team could be built around him. But I am in awe of both Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney. I thought Deepti Sharma would be appointing as the captain of UP Warriors but it did not happen.”

Beth Mooney in place of Ashley Gardner:-
