The 17th edition of the IPL cricket series, which commenced on March 22nd in India, is currently underway, and the excitement among fans is at its peak. With the tournament halfway through, anticipation is building to see which four teams will advance to the playoffs.

In particular, the fans of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are eagerly awaiting their team’s performance this season, as it marks the farewell season for the iconic Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Mustafizur Rahman, the talented fast bowler who had performed well in the early part of the series, faced severe criticism for his poor bowling performance in the last match against Lucknow. As a result, the team management has decided to replace Rahman with Sri Lankan spinner Maheesh Theekshana.

Theekshana, who was an integral part of the Chennai team last year, had shown impressive performances under the leadership of MS Dhoni. However, with the change in leadership this season, Theekshana found himself sidelined.

The recent defeat against Lucknow has forced the CSK management to rethink their strategy, and it is expected that Theekshana will take Rahman’s place in the playing eleven for the upcoming matches.

With the pressure mounting on CSK to secure victories in their remaining matches, all eyes will be on the team as they strive to secure a spot in the playoffs and give a fitting farewell to their beloved captain, MS Dhoni.
