In a high-octane IPL 2024 T20 cricket match held on April 28th, 2024, at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) created history by setting a new world record.

Facing off against the Hyderabad team, CSK batted first after Hyderabad won the toss and elected to bowl. Despite losing opener Rakhine early in the innings, CSK batting powerhouse led by Captain Ruturaj, along with Daryl Mitchell and Shivam Dubey, set the stage on fire.

Olympics FYI

Ruturaj, who had been consistently impressive, was in sublime form, scoring a half-century in just 27 balls. Mitchell, initially slow, gained momentum and scored his first half-century of the season, partnering with Ruturaj to form a crucial 107-run partnership for the second wicket. However, just when Ruturaj seemed set for a century, he fell agonizingly short, dismissed for 98 runs off 54 balls.

Former CSK captain, MS Dhoni, and Shivam Dubey added quick runs towards the end, with Dubey remaining unbeaten on 39 runs off 20 balls, guiding CSK to a formidable total of 212/3 in their allotted 20 overs.
