In response, the Titans fought hard, with their sights set on chasing down the target of 225 runs. Sai Sudharsan (65 runs) and David Miller (55 runs) put up a commendable performance, but the Titans could only manage 220 runs for the loss of 8 wickets at the end of their 20 overs, falling agonizingly short of victory.

Speaking about the defeat, Captain Shubman Gill acknowledged the team’s efforts, stating, “We really played good cricket in this match. However, the eventual defeat is disappointing. Everyone in our team contributed very well.” He emphasized the team’s commitment to bounce back, saying, “Surely in the coming matches, we will correct the mistakes and return to the winning track.”

Reflecting on the match, Gill pointed out the importance of the current impact player rule in IPL matches, which provides added comfort to every team. He highlighted the depth of the batting order, allowing batsmen to score big even if wickets fall early. However, Gill lamented that the Titans faltered in the last two overs of the match, conceding a significant number of runs, which ultimately led to their defeat.

“It is noteworthy that Shubman Gill said that surely in the coming matches we will correct the mistakes and return to the winning track,” emphasized Gill, expressing his determination to turn the tide in the upcoming matches.

As the IPL series progresses, all eyes will be on the Gujarat Titans as they aim to learn from their mistakes and stage a strong comeback in their quest for victory.
