In a thrilling encounter at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, FAF Du Plessis led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to their second victory of the season, defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 35 runs.

The match kicked off with RCB settled opening pair, Virat Kohli and FAF Du Plessis, taking the crease. Du Plessis provided an explosive start, scoring 25 off 12 balls before being dismissed in the 4th over. Despite a shaky start, Virat Kohli stood firm, anchoring the RCB innings. Rajat Patidar’s quickfire 50 off 20 balls injected momentum into the innings, setting RCB on the path to a formidable total. However, after the quick dismissals of Patidar and Kohli, RCB seemed to lose momentum. Cameron Green’s impressive innings of 37 off 20 balls helped RCB reach a competitive total of 206/7.

Despite efforts from Shahbaz Ahmed (40 off 37 balls) and skipper Pat Cummins (31 off 15 balls), SRH failed to keep up with the required run rate and were eventually bowled out for 171 runs.
