In a breathtaking display of power-hitting, Marcus Stoinis guided Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) to a remarkable victory against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in yesterday’s IPL encounter at Chepauk in Chennai. Stoinis’ sensational knock of 124 runs off just 63 balls turned the game on its head and secured a memorable win for LSG.

After winning the toss, LSG opted to bowl first. CSK’s opener Ruturaj Gaikwad crafted a brilliant century, remaining unbeaten at 108 runs from 60 balls. However, despite Gaikwad’s heroics, CSK lost wickets at regular intervals. Shivam Dube’s explosive innings of 66 runs off just 27 balls propelled CSK to a challenging total of 210/4.

LSG’s response got off to a disastrous start as they lost Quinton de Kock without scoring. Despite a brief resistance from captain KL Rahul, LSG found themselves struggling. However, Marcus Stoinis had other plans.

Stoinis, known for his aggressive batting, played an innings for the ages. With a mix of power and smart cricket, he raced to an unbeaten 124 runs, which included 13 boundaries and six maximums. Nicholas Pooran’s quickfire 34 off 15 balls provided crucial support to Stoinis’ onslaught.
